What I Tell My Younger Self Every Day

I’m always on the lookout for “Advice-I’d-Give-My-Younger-Self” articles. These pieces often contain valuable insights from older generations, like, “I wish I hadn’t worked so hard,” “I wish I’d let myself be happier,” or “I wish I’d stayed in touch with old friends.” While these reflections can be sobering, they offer a wealth of wisdom. I …

Hi All, Here's you weekly dose of what I'm currently consuming, reading, and partaking in. Enjoy! What I'm Reading Drive - Daniel Pink I'll let my Instagram caption do the bulk of the talking on this one but as a manager, this book was so valuable for me. And if you're a teacher, coach, or …

Finance Tips from Tony Robbins: Unshakeable

As I wrote in my latest Weekly Rapport, I just finished reading Unshakeable, Tony Robbins' shorter sequel to Money: Master the Game. It's filled with a quick, easy-to-comprehend guide to how to handle your finances, no matter your age or life stage. Throughout reading, I took a lot of notes and highlighted most of the …

The Weekly Rapport #4: Five Things I’m Loving Right Now

Thoughts coming out of the weekend:   Loyola is in the Final Four - and it's not Maryland, but Chicago. Nonetheless still rooting for a fellow Jesuit Loyola school to take home the big prize. It's been so much fun to watch this team. This March has been particularly crazy with some of the upsets, …

The Weekly Rapport #2: A List of What I’m Currently Enjoying

Hey guys! Last week I put out a list of some of my favorite things that I ate, drank, or saw that week and some good feedback so I going to keep it going for another week. Like I said, I really love hearing suggestions for new things, places, or activities. If you have any …

You may have noticed my recent turn toward Christianity. Don’t worry, I’m not turning into some Bible-thumbing Jesus freak. But I am more curious than ever, so consider this me following that curiosity wherever it leads. After reading Mere Christianity, I went down the Christian apologetics rabbit hole, which eventually led me to the legendary Timothy Keller. Well, suffice to say, this is one of the best novels I’ve ever read. Just a masterpiece from beginning to end. This place was made for guys like me📚 Realized I never posted my 2025 favorites! What C.S. Lewis does (and what fifteen years of Catholic education never managed) is explain the why. Not the rituals. Not the doctrine. The underlying logic of it all: why Christianity offers such a precise and surprisingly coherent map for navigating morality, love, and the aching complexity of being human. He uses plain language, concrete metaphors, and a refreshing intellectual honesty. He admits what he hasn’t figured out. He doesn’t try to convert you. He simply lays out why so many people don’t just choose faith, but find they need it. This was one of the most fascinating non-fiction books I’ve read in a long time. Ryan Holiday often cites this as one of his most recommended books, and within the first 25 pages, I understood why. Alright, ya caught me. Another “power of your subconscious mind” book. This one has been on my shelf for over a decade, untouched. I remember hearing Terry Crews singing its praises on a podcast with Tim Ferriss. “In order to ‘have’ you must ‘do,’ and in order to ‘do’ you must ‘be.’” Just gonna peek in quick…
