The Weekly Rapport #2: A List of What I’m Currently Enjoying

Hey guys! Last week I put out a list of some of my favorite things that I ate, drank, or saw that week and some good feedback so I going to keep it going for another week. Like I said, I really love hearing suggestions for new things, places, or activities. If you have any recommendations I’d love to hear them. For now, here is this week’s list of what I’m currently enjoying.

What I’m Watching

Dave Chappelle Stand Up – Equanimity

When Dave Chappelle came out with two new Netflix specials last year, I watched them immediately… and was disappointed. While there were a few good jokes, I didn’t think he was on his A game. However, this round of Netflix specials that he just released a few weeks ago are great. The first one, called Equanimity, is vintage Dave Chappelle. While he does get very political (which is something I normally don’t like in comedians) he did a good job of taking an important stance and also making it funny in the end. I haven’t watched the 2nd one yet, but after seeing the first one, I have faith that he’s back.

Article to Forward

This article on motivation. My girlfriend sent this to me and I really enjoyed it. It teaches you to focus on your goals from a different vantage point that will keep you motivated and keep you moving rather than wearing out and giving up. It offers you a whole new look on how you should be setting goals and why you’re going after them in the first place. It gave me the motivation to write two extra blog posts today, so give it a try.

Workout I’m Currently On

SoulCycle

I like to change up my workouts every couple of months with something new. My latest addition has been doing SoulCycle once a week. It gets you sweating a ton since they crank up the heat in there and the music is so loud it forces you to go an extra gear. I’m not really a fan of the gyrations they make you do like hopping up and down and doing pushups on the handle bars – those moves are very herky-jerky to me and I feel like I’m going to pull a muscle. I usually just do my own think and turn up the resistance.

This Brutal 20 Minute Workout

mens health

My brother literally sent me this workout at 6am this morning so I tried it right away. It was TOUGH. It’s sounds simple since it’s only two exercises but by the end I was absolutely gassed. Use a low weight dumbbell for the thrusters. I used 12.5 lbs and felt like I was going to collapse by the 100th rep.

Favorite Coffee Mug

Yeti Lowball Rambler

I got this as a Christmas gift and I love it. I use it for mainly coffee because it keeps the hot coffee hot and the iced coffee even colder.

What I’m Drinking

Kombucha

A friend of mine recently had me try Kombucha for the first time and it was definitely a weird taste but I kind of liked it. If you’re not familiar with Kombucha it’s fermented black and green tea, so it’s carbonated and it’s great for your gut biomes. I drink it whenever I feel a stomach ache coming on or if I just ate something really unhealthy, I use it as almost a probiotic. My favorite brand is Health-Ade Kombucha because it has the least amount of sugar of all the ones I’ve tried and it also comes in a cool apothecary glass bottle. Pink Lady Apple is my flavor of choice. They are a little pricey, but you can get a 12 pack on Amazon here.

Have a great weekend everyone!
